Tata Steel-mótið í Sjávarvík er iðulega eitt allra skemmtilegasta mót hvers árs. Lífgar upp á skammdegið í janúar. Blöndun keppenda yfirleitt mjög góð. Bæði sterkustu skákmenn heims í bland við unga skákmenn á uppleið og stutt og leiðinileg jafntefli fátíð.

Very entertaining chess in Wijk aan Zee! The organisers tend to invite a nice mix of players – which is the best guarantee for an exciting event. Nevertheless, there is still a strong case, as @leontxogarcia pointed out, for the introduction of (40 move) Sofia Rules.
